DiversThe PADI Open Water Diver Course is conducted by a PADI certified Instructor. Our Instructors are highly experienced professionals dedicated to providing you with the careful and attentive training you need to be a safe and competent diver. Under our Instructor’s guidance, you will discover why diving is one of the most exciting and enjoyable activities in the world!

The PADI Open Water Diver Course at Joe Liburdi’s Dive & Photo includes all of the following:

  • Small Classes. Only 4 students per class promises personal attention
  • One 2-hour Orientation and Introduction to the convenient Home Study portions of the program
  • Three 3-hour Classroom Lecture Sessions devoted to understanding the basic principles of scuba diving, terminology, and safety procedures
  • 5 Confined Water Dives in a pool to learn and practice basic scuba diving skills
  • 4 Open Water Dives (two days, two dives each day) to review your skills and explore!
  • Course Materials (a Book and DVD package or a multimedia DVD-ROM) and PADI Open Water Diver Certification Card
  • Rental Equipment: Wetsuit, Hood, BCD, Regulator, Octopus, Gauges, Tank, Weight Belt, Weights

Private Classes: One-on-one, $695. Private Group of 2, $525 each. Private Group of 3, $455 each.

Prerequisites:

  1. To enroll a PADI Open Water Diver course, you must be 10 years or older
  2. Students aged 10 -11 years old are eligible for a Junior Open Water Diver certification. Junior Open Water Divers must dive with a PADI Professional or scuba certified parent/guardian. Dives must not exceed 12 metres /40 feet.
  3. Junior Open Water Divers ages 12-14 years old must dive with a scuba certified adult. Junior Open Water Divers can upgrade their Junior certification card at age 15 to full Open Water status.
